Sure, these folks are "conservative" (meaning only that they hate the left); but they are not actual conservatives. I'm wondering what it is they think is worth conserving here? In any case, they are like atheists who just happen to have faith in all of the moral prescriptions in the bible (except the icky ones that forbid fornication and homosexuality), but who reject the existence of God. These "conservatives" live life like progressives, but cling to the idea of God.

Yes, I agree. For some, being "not-Left" or "not-Progressive" means you are "right-wing" or "conservative". Our political categories seem to have become so muddled that many cannot distinguish between a classical liberal, a libertarian, a neoconservative, and a conservative. Indeed, many conservatives even seem to think that conservatism is itself a branch of classical liberalism.

In the "glory days" of pinup calendars, they were not seen as items of acceptable values to the traditional folks. One could argue that (1) it has become "conservative" as a reaction to the near-universal availability of pornography, or (2) it's tongue-in-cheek as a reference to something that was sexual in a more culturally "acceptable" way.
Whether those are true, though, is a red herring; if they wanted to make this calendar, there are many ways to do it that don't weakly signal "just go back 3 tumbles down the slippery slope."
